Lake Bled is a 2-kilometer long lake situated near the Julian Alps in northwestern Slovenia. In the middle of the lake is an island bearing a small church, and near the lake is a castle perched on top of a cliff. The picturesque setting draws a lot of tourists, but its large size keeps it still a very peaceful place. Nearby is Triglavski Narodni Park, with plenty of interesting things including the Vintgar Gorge.
