Did you know the Andromedia galaxy is 6 times the size of the moon in the night sky? Many nebulae and galaxies in the night sky are actually very large, but just too dim to see with the naked eye. Here I try to show these objects in the context of landscapes to show how big they would appear if our eyes were more sensitive. While these images are stacked, tracked, and blended over several hours, each image is fully accurate to how the night sky would appear over that landscape; these images are NOT composites of multiple focal lengths.
